Manages the Currency master data and its respective exchange rate against the base currency used by the system over time.  This information is essential for budget commitment computation when procurement is in a non-base currency.

 

 

Navigation

1. From the homepage, go to Finance module.

2. Navigate to Finance Settings and Currency.

 

 

Guide

1. Click the Create New button.

2. Input the Currency details:

  • Currency abbreviation
  • Description
  • Symbol
  • Decimal Places

3. Input Exchange Rate details:

  • Add exchange rates by clicking the Add button and populating the following:
    • Equivalent to Default main currency
    • Effective Start Date
    • Effective End Date
  • Click the Update button.

4. Once done, click the Save button.

 

Notes: 

  • To facilitate the update of exchange rate for multiple foreign currency, the System allows users to mass upload the new exchange rate via Excel upload.
  • To facilitate the update of exchange rate for multiple foreign currency at one goal, the System permits users to download an Excel template for Exchange Rate update. Once the template is filled up, Users can upload it to the System.  The System will then verify the syntax and validity of the data before creating the new Exchange Rate Schedule in the System.
